TaskHawk Joins Reconvened U.S. Initiative to Empower the Collaborative Promotion and Development of Artificial Intelligence
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - eTradeWire -- Today, TaskHawk Systems, LLC announced its participation in the reconvened NIST Artificial Intelligence Consortium established within the Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The Consortium will empower the collaborative establishment of new measurement science that will enable the identification of proven, scalable, and interoperable techniques and metrics to promote the development and use of AI.
"Organizations need reliable ways to evaluate whether an AI system's controls remain effective under real operating conditions," said John McGraw, founder and chief executive officer of TaskHawk Systems, LLC. "We intend to contribute methods for testing runtime enforcement, monitoring and containment, with reproducible evaluations that connect authorization decisions to independently observed outcomes."
The NIST AI Consortium supports initiatives set forth in the National Artificial Intelligence Initiative Act of 2020 and America's AI Action Plan, published in 2025.

The company applies formal verification to selected authorization and revocation properties. TaskHawk's software and hardware engineering spans post-quantum cryptography and applications in cybersecurity, aeronautics, advanced manufacturing and energy systems. TaskHawk is based in Charlottesville, Virginia.
