Jason Brock Continues The Journey With New Single "california"
eTradeWire News/10851674
The second chapter of California King follows Jason Brock's journey from Ventura to Memphis, exploring the memories, connections and places that stay with us long after we've moved on.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - eTradeWire -- Independent singer-songwriter Jason Brock continues the story behind his forthcoming album California King with the release of his new single, "California," arriving November 12, 2026.
"California" takes the journey in a more reflective direction. Where the first single explored the universal search for belonging, the new song looks back toward the people, places and experiences that become part of us.
For Brock, the story is deeply personal.
After years of making music in Ventura, California, he recently relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, following an instinctive pull toward a city whose musical history helped shape the sound of American rock & roll. The move became more than a change of address. It became the beginning of a new creative chapter in the California King album story arc.

"California" is a song about memory, identity and the enduring connections that travel with us, even when the landscape changes.
"California King is about the journey as much as the destination," says Brock.
Rooted in classic rock, Americana and the enduring spirit of American songwriting, Brock's music draws on a musical tradition built around honest storytelling, memorable melodies and the emotional connection between artist and listener.
The new single follows "Where We Belong," the opening release from California King, a forthcoming album centered on reinvention, resilience, friendship and the search for connection. The album is currently planned for release in January 2027.
California King: The Road to Memphis, is an ongoing collection of stories, photographs, music and experiences that captures the transition from California to Tennessee and the people encountered along the way.
As an independent artist, Brock retains 100% ownership of his master recordings and publishing, building his career through direct relationships with listeners, musicians and the independent music community.

The journey brings together a growing audience through The California King Society, an artist-led community offering early access to music, behind-the-scenes stories and a closer connection to the making of the record.
With "California," Jason Brock continues a story that is becoming bigger than one musician's move across the country. It is a reminder that the places we leave never completely leave us—and that sometimes the road forward begins by looking back.
