Sack Boyz Entertainment Launches PaperFirst — Free Paperwork App for Independent Artists
eTradeWire News/10851646
Built in-house by the Orlando label, PaperFirst generates split sheets that refuse to print until shares total 100%, and scores every release against the eight paper gates. Free for students and independent artists, forever. It collects no data.
ORLANDO, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Sack Boyz Entertainment today launched PaperFirst (paperfirst.tech), a free web app that gives independent music artists the two pieces of paper the industry runs on — before they drop a record.
The app carries two tools. The Split Sheet Generator records each writer's role, share, PRO, and publisher share, and refuses to produce the sheet until the shares total 100% — paper that does not add up protects nobody. The Release Check scores a record against the eight gates a release must clear: a signed split sheet, the beat license in writing, ISRC, ISWC, a clean version delivered with the master, locked credits, final cover art with the advisory mark, and distribution splits set at the distributor.

PaperFirst runs entirely in the artist's browser. It collects nothing, stores nothing, and tracks no one. It installs to a phone's home screen like any app — no store, no account, no cost — and works offline. Free for students and independent artists, forever, designed to reach artists before the bad split instead of after it.
The tool is the public front end of the label's paper standard. Sack Boyz tested it on its own roster — Twan G Young Gutta, Chevy GC, and AyeB TheRapper — and published the standard: no split sheet, no sync.
"Every artist we meet is missing the same paper," said Terrance Edwards, Co-CEO of Sack Boyz Entertainment. "Splits not in writing. Licenses a signature short. No clean version when radio calls. We built the tool our own roster has to pass, and then we gave it away. Paper first. Then the record."
PaperFirst carries the label's paper doctrine as its motto: "No one can get hurt." The paper is written down so everybody is protected before the record — the artist's share, the producer's credit, the house's word.
