The Tad Pad™ Lives On: Take Home A Piece of Ole Miss Basketball History
eTradeWire News/10851504
Artsman introduces handcrafted Ole Miss Rebels® collectibles made from authentic Tad Smith Coliseum™ basketball court wood, preserving a physical piece of the Tad Pad for generations of fans.
OXFORD, Miss. - eTradeWire -- For generations of Ole Miss fans, C.M. "Tad" Smith Coliseum was more than a basketball arena. Affectionately known as the Tad Pad™, it was where students, alumni, families and fans gathered to cheer on the Rebels and make memories. Although the building no longer stands, a piece of its history can still be kept.
Artsman has introduced a collection of handcrafted Ole Miss Rebels® collectibles made from authentic court wood from Tad Smith Coliseum. The collection gives fans a tangible connection to a place they can no longer visit, walk through or experience on game day.
Opened in 1966, the arena served as a home for Ole Miss basketball for decades. Its significance extended beyond the games played on its court. For many Rebels, the Tad Pad was part of their time at the university, a tradition shared with family, or a familiar gathering place tied to lasting memories.

The building is gone, but the history created inside it remains part of the Ole Miss story. Artsman's collection preserves a physical piece of that history, allowing former students, longtime fans and families to keep a connection to the Tad Pad close and pass it on to future generations.
The collection includes a Mini Court (https://artsmansport.com/collections/ole-miss-rebels/products/ole-miss-rebels-mini-court), Mini-Mini Court (https://artsmansport.com/collections/ole-miss-rebels/products/ole-miss-rebels-mini-mini-court), pendant (https://artsmansport.com/collections/ole-miss-r...), wood block (https://artsmansport.com/collections/ole-miss-r...), ornament (https://artsmansport.com/collections/ole-miss-r...) and wall frame (https://artsmansport.com/collections/ole-miss-r...). Each offers a different way to display or gift an authentic piece of the court. Every collectible is made from court wood that was part of the original arena, connecting it directly to the place it represents.

Because the Tad Smith Coliseum™ building no longer stands, this court wood cannot be sourced from that arena again. The collection offers fans an opportunity to preserve a tangible piece of a place that helped shape generations of Ole Miss basketball memories.
The Ole Miss collection is available exclusively through Artsman's website.
