Wiper Blades Direct backs Wall Racing rookie through a rain-soaked Gold Coast 500
eTradeWire News/10851606
Australian wiper blade specialist, Wiper Blades Direct carries its colours on the #91 Porsche of Jake Santalucia as torrential rain tests the Carrera Cup field at Surfers Paradise.
GOLD COAST, Australia - eTradeWire -- Australian online retailer Wiper Blades Direct was on board Wall Racing's #91 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup as rookie Jake Santalucia contested Round 6 of the 2026 Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia Championship. The round ran at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 on the Surfers Paradise street circuit from 23 to 25 October.
Rain shaped the entire weekend. Drivers faced puddles, standing water and fading visibility, making it one of the most demanding rounds of the season. For a brand built on clear vision in bad weather, the conditions could hardly have been more fitting.
Santalucia, 18, from Victoria, won the 2025 Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia title before stepping up to Carrera Cup with Wall Racing this year. He arrived on the Gold Coast in a replacement chassis after a heavy crash in qualifying at Bathurst, and qualified 12th.

"Seeing our name on the #91 car as it raced through standing water at Surfers Paradise summed up exactly what we do," said Aaron, Co-Founder of Wiper Blades Direct. "Wiper blades are a small part that becomes critical the moment the weather turns, and this weekend showed why."
"Jake drove with real maturity in some of the toughest conditions a street circuit can produce. We're proud to back a young Australian driver and a team with Wall Racing's championship pedigree."
The partnership reflects Wiper Blades Direct's commitment to Australian motorsport and the drivers coming through its ranks. Racing demands precision, reliable equipment and a clear view of the road ahead, the same standards Wiper Blades Direct (https://wiperbladesdirect.com.au) applies to every blade it sells.
By supporting Wall Racing and Santalucia's rookie season, the company aims to connect with motorsport fans who care about their own cars, while helping a young driver build his career in Porsche's premier one-make series.
