Dec. 31, 2018 - eTradeWire -- Discount Mugs Data Security Breach Class Action Investigation
Abington Cole + Ellery is currently conducting a class action investigation regarding a confirmed data security breach of DiscountMugs.com. The incident may have affected certain customers' payment card numbers and other information entered on the Discount Mugs website between August 5, 2018, and November 16, 2018.

A customer data breach notice from Discount Mugs states that on November 16, 2018, it discovered an unauthorized change had been made to its DiscountMugs.com website. Discount Mugs initiated an investigation and learned that unauthorized code was inserted into the DiscountMugs.com shopping cart page designed to collect information customers entered on that page.

Discount Mugs states that the unauthorized code was designed to collect some information that customers submitted through the shopping cart page when completing an order, which may have included: name, address, phone number, email address, the credit card or debit card number used to place the order, the expiration date, and card security code (CVV2) for that card.
