Dashing Through the Glow 5K Runners Among First to See Georgia's Magical Nights of Lights
eTradeWire News/10852106
BUFORD, Ga. - eTradeWire -- Lanier Islands Resort and its friends at Big Peach Running Company – Braselton have some exciting news for Georgia runners. For this year's Dashing Through the Glow 5K, there will be TWO events on Sunday, November 15 – one before sunrise at 6:15 a.m. and another around dusk at 5:45 p.m. In both instances, participants will get a sneak peek at the lakeside destination's famed Magical Nights of Lights – five days before it opens to the public on Friday, November 20.
Runners will also receive a commemorative crew-neck sweatshirt (or hoodie for an upgrade) as well as a custom "GLOW IN THE DARK" finisher medal once they've reached the finish line. Organizers added the extra time slot because last year's phenomenal response sold out the race in record time. Slots still remain for both races, and all proceeds will benefit the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.
