CHARLOTTE, N.C. - eTradeWire -- Unless an AI agent (crawler) can access a web page, it can't recommend it to its users. Unfortunately, many web hosts and CDNs prevent these crawlers from reaching a website in the first place. Although hosts and CDNs claim this is about intellectual property protections, the real problem they're solving is that visits from these crawlers are expensive for them. The highest cost, however, is that excluded websites miss out on visitors and potential customers from AI systems.

That's why Reliable Acorn created the Crawler Record plugin for WordPress. This plugin monitors visits from the most popular AI and search engine crawlers. The crawlers this plugin monitors include Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Meta, Apple, Amazon, DuckDuckGo, and Common Crawl. Version 1.0 lets you see not only the last time these crawlers visited a website, but also whether they encountered an error so that you can fix the problem.
