CLINIMED Becomes First Liposuction Cannula Maker to Offer 3D and AR Models of Its Cannula Range
eTradeWire News/10851597
Surgeons can now turn cannula tips in 3D on screen, or place them life-size on their desk in augmented reality, before ordering.
HELLERTOWN, Pa. - eTradeWire -- CLINIMED, a maker of reusable liposuction and fat grafting cannulas since 1978, today launched interactive 3D and augmented reality (AR) models of its cannula range at liposuction-cannulas.com. It is the first liposuction cannula maker to do so.
More than 40 CLINIMED product pages now open with a 3D model of the cannula tip in place of a flat photo. Visitors can rotate and zoom it to see the shape of the tip and how the ports are arranged around the shaft. On iPhone, iPad and most Android phones, one tap places the cannula life-size in the room through the camera, with no app required. On a computer, a scannable code opens the same page on the visitor's phone. How it works is explained at https://www.liposuction-cannulas.com/blogs/news...

Each model is built directly from the computer-aided design (CAD) drawings that CLINIMED cannulas are manufactured from. "A 3D model is only accurate if the product is made exactly to its drawing," said Zan Saber, COO of CLINIMED. "Our cannulas are made to order from precise CAD drawings on modern manufacturing equipment, so what a surgeon sees in 3D is what arrives in the box."
The models cover aspiration, fat harvesting, infiltration and re-injection cannulas, including the H. Becker basket, Mercedes and the NANO, MICRO, MILLI and MACRO harvesters, with more being added.
