September 30 Run & Walk supports educational programs for children in need
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - eTradeWire -- The 2023 Yours Humanly Break a Sweat for Education® 5K Run & Walk and free Kids Fun Run will be held on Saturday, September 30, at Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek, California. Funds raised by this popular family-friendly event support local and global programs of Yours Humanly, a Northern California-based nonprofit that provides children in need around the world access to quality education and equitable resources. Yours Humanly is partnering with Mt. Diablo Education Foundation, with part of the proceeds directly benefiting students and schools in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.
Trophies for the chip-timed 5K run are awarded to the top three overall male and female 5K run finishers, and to the first place male and female 5K run finishers in eight age groups. 5K registrants receive a finisher medal and event t-shirt (if option is selected); Kids Fun Run registrants receive a finisher medal. Festivities also include music, face painting, balloon artist, and more.

People who want to support Yours Humanly and children in need, but who don't live in the area or can't make the September 30 event, can register online as virtual participants, then run or walk their own 5K course wherever they happen to be.
More than an athletic event, however, Break a Sweat for Education 5K Run & Walk and Kids Fun Run is a fundraiser for education and a fun way to spend a Saturday morning while making a profound difference in the lives of others.
