Wendy Petta-Goldman: "Mindful Nature" at the Geary Gallery in Darien, CT
eTradeWire News/10828552
DARIEN, Conn. - eTradeWire -- The Geary Gallery proudly presents its February exhibition, "Mindful Nature," featuring the works of Fairfield, Connecticut artist, Wendy Petta-Goldman (https://gearygallery.com/?artists=wendy-petta-g...). Her contemplative mixed-media paintings draw inspiration from nature, animals, and landscapes, creating expressive works that reflect a sense of presence, balance, and inner awareness. The exhibition runs February 4–28, 2026. Admission is free and open to all.
About Wendy Petta-Goldman
Wendy Petta-Goldman attended the University of Hartford, studying at the Hartford Art School, where her early foundation in fine art began. Like many artists, life unfolded in powerful and unexpected ways. She devoted years to raising her seven children and three stepchildren, a season rich with purpose, love, and responsibility.
As her children grew, Petta-Goldman felt a deep pull to return to herself and to her creative roots. This return coincided with a serious commitment to yoga and mindfulness practices that transformed not only her physical awareness, but her inner landscape — a way of seeing and being that now guides every aspect of her life.

In 2016, this awakening gave rise to her Buddha series, a body of work that resonated deeply with others and found homes across the country. That same year, she began creating mala bead necklaces, drawn to the healing energy and symbolism of natural stones.
In March 2024, Petta-Goldman and her family moved to a farm, where daily life is shared with three dogs, eight goats, barns, open land, and an ever-changing natural world. Immersed in this environment, inspiration now surrounds her constantly — found in quiet moments, the presence of animals, shifting light, and the rhythms of nature. She employs mixed media including acrylic paints, gel mediums, pigments, and resin on canvas.
Petta-Goldman continues her dedicated yoga practice and approaches creation with a curious, observant spirit. She feels herself in each piece as it unfolds, painting from a place of awareness, connection, and presence — grounded in the moment and deeply attuned to life around her.
Artist Statement:
"I am an artist whose work is rooted in observation, spirit, and lived experience. I create art with a mind that thinks in the present, reflective of the past and curious about the future.
