Recognizing society's & media's negative views of men and fatherhood over the past decade, one international organization is taking a stand to honor those fathers in our world in a global acknowledgement project called "The Wall of Fathers."
SAN DIEGO - eTradeWire -- Recognizing society's and certain media's negative views of men and fatherhood over the past decade, one international organization is taking a stand to honor those fathers in our world in a global acknowledgement project called "The Wall of Fathers."
The wall is an online forum for men to submit pictures with their fathers, pictures with their children as well as contribute any personal sentiments related to fatherhood and fathering. This year's wall will be revealed June 16 via the Legacy Magazine, a product of Mentor Discover Inspire, a men's organization with members spanning the globe with in-person as well as virtual Zoom team meetings.
The purpose of the wall – built in 2017 by Legacy Magazine editor Jim Ellis and publisher Justin LaBarge from an idea by former MDI member Satrajpal Rai – is set to bring honor to the life and lessons of fathers, whether that be for one's own father or for the man who is a father himself. Open to any man within reach of the world wide web, Ellis and LaBarge offer this opportunity to showcase the love, care, and commitment for fatherhood.
Submit:
1. Offer a favorite memory; tell a dad story.
2. Answer one of these questions: Why are fathers important to a family? As a father, what is one tip you can give to other fathers out there? How would you like to honor your own father?
3. Submit a photo with you and your children or you and your dad, along with a brief one-liner caption about a memory.
