ORLANDO, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Dogs are known to bring out the best in people. Could it be, then, that not having a dog brings out the worst?

"The one thing we can all agree has dogged Donald Trump since the day he barreled into the White House is his lack of a dog," says Rob Schwartz, the concerned citizen behind Dog Lovers for Joe, a new video campaign that looks back at Presidents and their pets. "Joe Biden loves dogs. And loving dogs says so much about a person: compassion, empathy, competence and joy."

The Dog Lovers for Joe video, which encourages voters to "Choose your humans wisely" has since gone viral with over 7 million views on Twitter. It features the nation's beloved First Families and their canine companions – Lucky, Millie, Barney, Buddy and Bo – as well as Joe and Dr. Jill Biden and their German shepherds Major and Champ.

But Donald Trump is the first president in over 100 years who does not have a First Dog. In fact, he has mocked the notion of having a dog in the White House, stating, "How would I look walking a dog across the White House lawn?"

The unofficial video concept aligns with new ads placed by the Biden campaign, which feature Biden's precious pooches and asks supporters to "chip in right now to help make Joe a MAJOR CHAMPion," and compels voters to "build bark better."

For Schwartz and others who may not like the way our country has been governed these last four years, the love of our best friends is an opportunity to unite through a common bond that crosses party lines.

"Whether you're a Red State person or Blue State person, chances are, you're a dog person," said Schwartz. "It's time we had a dog-lover back in the White House."
