However, the number of candidates beginning their search for a new travel job fell slightly in February with a dip of 14 per cent from January and three per cent compared to February 2024.
Speaking about the stats, Barbara Kolosinska, Co-Owner and Managing Director at C&M Travel Recruitment (http://www.candm.co.uk/), said: "After big monthly increases in new travel vacancies and candidates in January, it's great to see these begin to be converted into job placements, with a strong rise of 42 per cent in February. In addition, a very healthy number of new roles were created last month, which should hopefully encourage talent to seek out the fantastic travel jobs currently available.
"As we've said for some time now, what the travel recruitment sector needs is consistency. The last couple of years have been characterised by busy months followed by slower ones without any real momentum. We've now had three positive months in a row, and while it is too early to call this a significant trend, there are many encouraging signs about the health of the market in 2025."
