St. Paul, Minnesota – TLC Electronics announced that is has acquired Schuster Electronics of Cleveland, Ohio with an additional location in Cincinnati, Ohio.
ST. PAUL, Minn. - eTradeWire -- Founded in St. Paul, MN, TLC Electronics began as a manufacturer rep firm specializing in interconnect solutions in 1984. Early 1990s saw am emerging need for manufacturing cable and wire harnesses for small pitch connector and complex assemblies. TLC expanded its capabilities to assist customers with all types of assemblies from concept to reality. TLC is a contract manufacturer and factory authorized distributor of electromechanical and interconnect components. The company is a second-generation, family -owned business that stands behind their quality and customer service.
Regarding the acquisition of Schuster, Jon Crofford, CEO/Owner of TLC Electronics stated,
"The addition of Schuster to the TLC organization brings together two companies that have grown by taking excellent care of their customers. We will continue to provide that high level of service and quality. We have been fortunate to add over 30 new franchised lines to the new organization to better supply our customers."

Schuster first opened for business in 1904 as an electrical contractor in Cincinnati, OH. Their early success was in distribution of phonographs, records, radios, and appliances. In the 1950's Schuster began offering franchised lines of electrical components. Currently Schuster is focused on partnering with customers to offer global sourcing solutions for components.
