WASHINGTON - eTradeWire -- To counter suspicions raised by reports (https://www.lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com/2024/07/wh...) that a neurologist and expbrain degenerative disorders , Dr. Kevin Cannard - who had never set foot inside the White House for some 10 years prior during his earlier appointment - was suddenly visiting in person almost monthly, the President's personal physician wrote a carefully worded letter (https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2...) which many are claiming shows that Joe Biden has no mental or cognitive problems, and that the expert's numerous visits to the White House were to treat others.

But a careful reading of the text suggests that it does no such thing, says public interest law professor John Banzhaf.

Moreover, serious doubt about the  completeness of the letter are raised by several reports showing that O'Connor has a serious conflict of interest created by a business relationship with the Biden family.

These suspicions are so serious that Representative James Comer, the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, has demanded that Dr. O'Connor appear in front of his committee to answer questions - presumably subject to possible penalties for perjury - "regarding his medical assessments of Biden and his private endeavors with the Biden family's business interests."

Especially now, in view of O'Connor's carefully worded letter (https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Letter7.8.24.pdf) about Dr. Cannard's alleged non-involvement with the President, Banzhaf has suggested to Comer that he require the neurologist to also testify under oath before his committee.  The law professor points out that both doctors can be required to answer many pointed important questions without infringing upon HIPPA or the doctor-patient privilege.
