Founded as Davlins by Dave and Linda, the store began as a passion project dedicated to fine craftsmanship. Signature items, such as handcrafted wooden cars by artist Jerry Kron, quickly became customer favorites.

As demand grew, the business expanded, opening a second location at Ridgedale Center in 1988. Over the years, additional stores were established in Roseville, Burnsville and Edina, with each location embracing the store's commitment to quality and creativity. To better serve the evolving retail landscape, operations were later streamlined, focusing on two core locations in Maple Grove and Woodbury.
