The Sage Plant Drives PropTech in the Piedmont Triad
eTradeWire News/10809185
HIGH POINT, N.C. - eTradeWire -- A new era of construction has arrived in the Piedmont Triad as The Sage Plant launches its innovative development work. In partnership with R.A.P. (RESILIENT. ADAPTIVE. PropTech.) Ventures LLC, Landon Stone of Beyond Home Advisors, and Coates Design Architects, The Sage Plant is bringing smarter, faster, and more sustainable building methods to North Carolina with a disruptive vision rooted in community, creativity, and environmental integrity.
The Sage Plant has already delivered successful projects across the United States using Emmedue's adaptive panelized building system, known globally for its superior insulation, durability, and seismic resistance—all while dramatically reducing construction time and carbon footprint. Now, the company is deepening its roots in the Piedmont Triad, with multiple projects underway.
CEO, Alex Dummit, is a High Point resident who has made it her mission to bring forward-thinking building solutions to her hometown and the surrounding area. "The Triad is ready for the next wave of construction innovation," said Dummit. "Leveraging Emmedue's adaptive technology, we're showing what's possible when global advancements meet local culture."

The technology is a game-changer for residential, commercial, and mixed-use construction. Their adaptive panel (A.P.) system uses expanded polystyrene (EPS) encased in a steel mesh that is reinforced with concrete, offering a lightweight but highly resilient structure—ideal for energy-efficient, long-lasting buildings.
One of The Sage Plant's most inspiring new developments is unfolding in soon to be High Point's Southwest Mill District—a historic neighborhood undergoing an intentional and creative revitalization effort. TSP's micro-community begins with three model homes at 319 Ennis Street using Emmedue construction methods.
The vision of The Sage Plant is to create a world of choices - for people who can, can't, will, and will not alike. Through insights gained from conversations with neighbors, the 319 Ennis site will serve as a mini-hub for community connection, featuring:
"This project is an invitation," said Dummit. "It's a call to imagine neighborhoods that are not only sustainable but also connected, intentional, and alive with purpose."

As The Sage Plant expands its footprint, it remains focused on projects that balance adaptive technology with community-rooted design. The Sage Plant reimagines how buildings—and the people who live and work in them—can thrive authentically.
With more developments on the horizon, The Sage Plant is poised to become a cornerstone in the Triad's growth story, bringing fresh energy, international innovation, and meaningful partnerships to every block it touches.
