The Metal Shop was launched back in 2002 by Duane Swift. After devoting 30 years in active duty to the Navy and working for another exhibit company, the opportunity to start a small business became available. From very humble beginnings of one drill press and MIG welder Duane was off and running. Since that date, the company has remained relatively small but has gone from those meager tools to machinery assets of over one million dollars. "We have expanded our manufacturing space four times and currently have 35,000 square feet of manufacturing space and approximately 10 employees." Dawne was also quoted as saying "Our clients are why we exist. From small startups to already well-established large corporations, we are so thankful for the opportunity we have had so we could deliver our best work for you, the valued customer. We have changed a bit over the years with the work that we do, from mainly working as a tradeshow metal fabricator to doing more OEM and custom fabrication in our current iteration.
