The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour Comes To Colorado Springs

The Country Club of Colorado to play host to Colorado Springs first women's ITF tennis tournament.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - eTradeWire -- The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour provides entry-level and mid-level professional tournaments and provides a professional pathway between the ITF Junior World Tennis Tour and the WTA Tour. The results of ITF tournaments are incorporated into the WTA Ranking, which enables professionals to the elite levels of women's professional tennis. The Colorado Springs ITF Tournament will showcase professional players from around the world including Veronica Miroshnichenko from Ukraine and a LMU All American.

This is the first ITF tournament in Colorado as far as I can remember, "said Scott Leifer Director of Tennis at the Country Club of Colorado. Scott's passion and experience within the game of tennis has helped lead the way on securing this ITF event in partnership with Visit Colorado Springs and Colorado Springs Sports Corporation. "The is just the first step in our goal to continue seek opportunities and partnerships to help bring more events like these to the Springs, said Cheyenne Mountain Resort's Complex General Manager Andrew Stegen."
