New children's book uses the colors of the rainbow as a metaphor for emotions
WAUSAU, Wis. - eTradeWire -- Elementary educator and young mother Melissa Fetting never dreamed she would need to guide her kids through the grief process. However, navigating the complex grief journey became a full-time challenge when their world turned upside down with the sudden passing of Melissa's husband and the children's father, Tim.
Now Melissa has turned those lessons into an illustrated children's book entitled The Grief Rainbow: Emotions Come in Many Colors (M&B Global Solutions Inc.) The Grief Rainbow uses the colors of the rainbow as a metaphor to illustrate how no two days are the same during the grief journey, and it is okay to feel every emotion along the way.

No one is born knowing how to handle intense grief. The challenge of dealing with intense emotions is especially difficult for children, and Melissa has learned first-hand how the unexpected death of a parent can affect young children.
"No one anticipates needing a book like this, yet I know so many face the heartbreaking reality on a daily basis," Melissa says. "It is a topic that isn't discussed enough, and my hope is this book will serve as one small tool among many that can bring some comfort to hurting hearts."
The Grief Rainbow is available for retailers on the IngramSpark platform and for individual sales on Amazon in paperback and digital formats here: https://amzn.to/4uFQOmw
About the author:
Melissa Fetting is an elementary educator, widowed mother of three and stepmother to a fourth. She lives in central Wisconsin, where she is experiencing how the power of positive energy and support from a strong extended family can create a happy home.
