Some artists for example Snoop Dogg, Neyo, Nadine Shah, Tracy Chapman, Billy Joel, and others have declared that a stake within the music industry as an artist is worthless. It has been reported that 72% of those musical artists are not earning an income from their concert tours as record labels' contracts require more money from the artist's sales, and performance earnings.
As of 2025, more entertainers are signing contracts for brand deals, and corporate marketing segmentation for consumers. The actor Kieran Culkin that will star in a new Hunger Games sequel: Sunrise on the Reaping had a voice cameo in a Super Bowl 2025 commercial; he won an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in the 2024 film called A Real Pain.
