The Alliance for Florida's National Parks announces last call for signature camping event
eTradeWire News/10826473
CORAL GABLES, Fla. - eTradeWire -- The Alliance for Florida's National Parks today announced that only a few tickets remain for Two Nights Under the Stars, a camping weekend honoring the beauty and importance of Florida's national parks.
The event will take place Jan. 23-25, 2026, at Flamingo Campground in Everglades National Park.
"Two Nights Under the Stars welcomes the community into one of South Florida's iconic campgrounds – Flamingo at the southernmost tip of Everglades National Park," said Lulu Vilas, CEO of The Alliance for Florida's National Parks. "It's an approachable, inclusive way to welcome experienced campers and non-campers, offering a variety of accommodations and guided experiences. This event removes barriers for first-time campers while creating meaningful opportunities for people to connect with nature and each other."
The Alliance just announced the newest addition to the event program: a fly-fishing demonstration by acclaimed saltwater fly fisherman, author and educator Chico Fernández. Fernández has been a leading figure in the sport for more than six decades, helping pioneer modern saltwater fly-fishing techniques and patterns.

Throughout the event, guests will enjoy two magical nights featuring activities such as a Star Party with Dr. Doug Roberts, president and CEO of the Philip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, kids' arts and crafts, an adult painting activity with artist Magnus Sodamin, bat detection, a birding hike, paddling, s'mores and a presentation by Zoo Miami Goodwill Ambassador Ron Magill.
Proceeds from the event directly support programs that protect and preserve Big Cypress National Preserve and Everglades, Biscayne and Dry Tortugas National Parks.
