eTradeWire News/10819784
NEW YORK - eTradeWire -- Tanya Young Williams, a former Celebrity Spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and a respected executive in communications and crisis management, proudly announces the launch of the updated UROK Survival Kit to help individuals and organizations proactively address domestic violence by providing them with the latest tools and resources. Since its launch in 2011, the UROK Survival Kit has been updated to reflect the advances in technology and the changing environment around personal safety.
On average, 24 people per minute are victims of intimate partner violence in the United States alone and the need for full featured resources is dire. The UROK Survival Kit contains the tools and resources needed. The UROK Survival Kit provides guidance for essential physical items and important paperwork items but also incorporates new technology tools.

Technology and Security: A smartphone with emergency apps, a solar powered power bank, and secure messaging applications allows reliable communication. Digital wallets and mobile payment systems.

As a DV survivor and expert on domestic violence, Tanya has shared her insights on major platforms including ABC, CBS, and MSNBC, as well as local news broadcasts and top-tier talk shows. Her voice has reached countless individuals. Additionally, she has served as a keynote speaker, moderator, featured contributor and panelist at numerous conferences, amplifying the message of survivorship and empowerment.
As a former celebrity spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, Tanya remains dedicated to this cause. "It saddens me that conversations about the domestic violence epidemic are only elevated in October or when a celebrity is involved in a domestic violence occurrence, either as the victim or abuser. Domestic violence occurs around the clock and it does not discriminate against race, socioeconomic status for academic prowess," continued Young Williams.
Organizations and individuals are encouraged to share the UROK Survival Kit in their communities to aid awareness and support.
