Dr. Shieh passes American Board of Cosmetic Surgery written and oral tests
FORT MYERS, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Founder of Surgical Healing Arts Center Dr. Moses Shieh has received American Board of Cosmetic Surgery certification.
The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery is a U.S. medical board that certifies surgeons in the specialty of cosmetic surgery. Membership is restricted to surgeons who have completed specific training requirements and passed its rigorous examination process.
"We are pleased to expand our services to meet the needs of our patients," Shieh said. "Patients who have weight loss surgery often lose weight rapidly. This can result in baggy excess skin that may make movement difficult and affect quality of life."
Shieh's areas of expertise include post massive weight loss body contouring procedures, revisional bariatric surgery, robotic surgery, anti-reflux surgery and complex wound care. Dr. Carey Nease, a trustee for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, also offers body contouring surgery and other cosmetic surgery at Surgical Healing Arts Center.

Shieh attended medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa and completed his residency at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of Michigan State University. He founded Surgical Healing Arts Center in 2012 and is also board certified in General Surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Currently, Stevens Construction is building a center for Surgical Healing Arts Center and Metro Alliance Surgery Center at 6201 Alliance Lane, Fort Myers, expected to be completed in early 2024. The first floor will house all Surgical Healing Arts Center's services, including medical and surgical weight loss, advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgery, revisional bariatric surgery, adolescent bariatric surgery, complex hernia repair, body-contouring surgery after weight loss, anti-reflux surgery, weight management services and a wide variety of general surgery. The center will also include Surgical Healing Arts Center's first wound-care center with hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber, which promotes faster healing and offers additional recovery benefits to patients.
