Studio+ names Rachel Hunter principal of the Tampa office

TAMPA, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Award-winning architecture and design firm Studio+ has named Rachel Hunter, AIA, NCARB principal in the Tampa office.
Hunter has been serving as associate principal and project manager in the office since 2014 and has been with Studio+ for nearly 12 years. She has led multidisciplinary teams on projects valued at more than $400 million ranging from complex hospital renovations to large corporate headquarters. She is an advocate for LEAN design principles, integrating advanced technologies and designing for the future of surgery and patient care.
Prior to joining Studio+, Hunter was a resident architect for the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she managed the construction of a 268,000-square-foot Polytrauma and Rehabilitation Center and Therapy pool addition and renovation.
A graduate of University of Miami's School of Architecture, Hunter is proud to be one of the fewer than 1% of Black women licensed architects in the U.S.
