Struggling Family Seeks Community Support to Prevent Homelessness
eTradeWire News/10778253
"Our home has been in this state for so long, and it's taking a toll on our health," said Sara. "Every day is a battle to stay afloat, and we're terrified of what might happen next."
CHICAGO - eTradeWire -- In a heartfelt plea, a local family is reaching out to the community in a time of desperate need. Sara and Payton, a mother and daughter duo, have been battling a series of overwhelming challenges that have brought them to the brink of homelessness. They have launched a GoFundMe campaign in hopes of raising the necessary funds to secure a safe and stable future.
The family's home, which remains only half-finished, has become a significant health hazard. Both Sara and Payton are suffering from breathing issues, likely due to the substandard living conditions. The upstairs bathroom floor is water-damaged and poses a constant threat of collapse, while the other bathroom remains incomplete.
Adding to their struggles is their only vehicle, a truck that is essential for daily commutes and work, but is in dire need of repairs. Despite already replacing the fuel pump and wheel bearings, the truck still requires an alignment, tire rotation, and further diagnostics for a persistent check engine light.

"We rely on our truck for everything, and it's becoming harder to keep it running. It's just one more thing that's adding to our stress," Sara explained.
The situation has also left Sara unable to afford even the most basic necessities for herself, such as a new bra, which she hasn't been able to purchase for nearly a year.
The family's GoFundMe campaign aims to raise funds to complete essential home repairs, fix their vehicle, and cover basic living expenses. Without these urgent interventions, they fear they will lose their home and face homelessness.
"We've tried everything, but we're now in a position where we need to ask for help," said Payton. "We're praying for a miracle, and any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us."
Sara and Payton are asking the community to come together and support their cause. Donations to their GoFundMe campaign will directly contribute to making their home safe, repairing their vehicle, and providing a lifeline during this critical time.
