NAPLES, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Naples, FL  – When Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica, it left a trail of devastation impacting the homes and lives of many in the Strand community's H2B team. Of the 37 dedicated H2B employees at The Club at The Strand, 27 are from Jamaica, and several suffered significant damage to their residences and personal belongings.
In response to this crisis, The Strand made a heartfelt appeal to its membership to support those affected. The response was overwhelming. Through a combination of GoFundMe contributions and direct donations,  $58,785 was raised to assist the H2B Team as they recover and rebuild their lives.
"This outpouring of support exemplifies the true spirit of The Strand," said Elvis Gooden, General Manager and COO of The Club at the Strand. "Our members not only recognize the dedication and hard work of our Jamaican team members, but they also extend genuine care and kindness in their time of need. This is what makes The Strand more than a club—it's a family."
