NAPLES, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Stevens Construction has been awarded the construction management services of the John & Carol Walter Nature Experience at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, announced Dan Adams, executive vice president/partner, Stevens Construction, Inc.
Located at 1495 Smith Preserve Way, the project includes new construction of 6,859-square-foot welcome center with a 56,629-square-foot parking garage and solar rooftop, interactive and traveling exhibits, immersive natural settings with a new preserve trail, walking loop and food truck picnic area. Dynamic programming will be offered on the expanded deck, in the new amphitheater and on additional electric boats to cruise the Gordon River.
As part of the construction management services, Stevens Construction worked alongside the Conservancy and Parker Mudgett Smith Architects during the 18-month design of the project, ensuring the Conservancy's sustainability, budget, schedule and quality goals are achieved. During this process, Stevens Construction identified $950,000 in potential cost-savings for the nonprofit environmental organization.
