AUSTIN, Texas - eTradeWire -- In celebration of a love for the great state from which it derives its name, Austin-based menswear company Texas Standard has released a limited-edition Heritage Printed Tee in honor of Texas Independence Day that will take place on March 2.

March 2, 1836 marked the near-end of the Texas Revolution, a series of battles and skirmishes between Tejanos and American Colonists. On this day, Texan delegate members upheld the  Texas Declaration of Independence, officially creating the Republic of Texas.

The Independence Day Heritage Tee features the Republic of Texas seal as re-imagined by Texas Standard as a right breasted front logo. On the back is a vintage-screen printed commemorative tale containing all the traditional symbols of Texas heritage.  A bald eagle, the republic of Texas flag, and the current Texas state flag, all surround the original Republic of Texas Seal. Designed and printed right here in Texas, this Heritage Tee is available in Heathered White and priced at $34.50.

In Texas, state pride is taken quite seriously. The Texas Standard Independence Day Tee Shirts are a modern expression of the tradition, culture, and history that make Texas great. This Independence Day,  Texas Standard provides a form of Texas pride that can literally be "worn on your sleeve."
