Stand 1st Foundation Equips Bartlesville School SRO's with ARC Compact Response Shields

Bartlesville's School System took a groundbreaking leap in school safety by equipping School Resource Officers (SRO's) with rifle-rated Compact Response Shields.
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - eTradeWire -- Armor Research Company, Inc. (ARC) proudly announces the provision of ten rifle-rated Compact Response Shields to the Bartlesville Police Department (BPD). Donated by the Stand 1st Foundation as part of Project Safe Schools, these shields are now in the hands of school resource officers (SROs) in the Bartlesville School System, marking a pivotal step in safeguarding students and faculty against potential threats.
The Stand 1st Foundation worked alongside local realtor Kevin Lynch and several community donors to raise funds for these shields. "The generosity of the community of Bartlesville is evident in the care they have for law enforcement and the efforts they have made to ensure that School Resource Officers have the tools needed to protect the students and teachers of Bartlesville schools," said Executive Director Ryan Sheehan.

"The Lyon Foundation, Musselman Abstract, the Patriot Auto Group and several other donors were instrumental in the success of this program, and we appreciate them very much," he added.
"There is a significant need across the country to equip officers with ballistic shields," said Sheehan, "and with the generous support of individuals, corporations and other foundations, we can help ensure that officers go home to their families at night."
The Compact Response Shield from ARC is a critical piece of equipment tailored for responding to active shooter scenarios.
