GREENVILLE, S.C. - eTradeWire -- Today, Bianca Williams is a successful attorney and law instructor. But as a kid growing up in Florida then Connecticut, her narrative was quite different.

Born to a teen mom, she endured a childhood full of trauma and abuse, leading to placement in foster care for most of her preteen and teen years.

Despite the challenges she faced growing up, she was determined to beat the grim statistics faced by kids aging out of foster care. She devoted herself to her education and graduated with honors from Midlands Technical College with an associate degree in paralegal studies. She then went on to earn her bachelor's in accounting from the University of South Carolina Moore School of Business.

Throughout and just after college, she served as an estate clerk for probate judge Amy McCulloch. So in 2012, she decided to tackle law school. Three years later, she graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina Central University School of Law. She later worked as a bankruptcy and probate attorney before becoming a law instructor at area technical colleges.

All the while, Williams kept the traumatic secrets of her childhood under lock and key. Eventually, she mustered the courage to face the trauma she experienced by opening up about her experiences in therapy. As part of her healing journey, she vowed to pay it forward by taking a stand for young people experiencing life in the foster care system.

She recently founded the nonprofit organization Premature Millionaires, Inc. to empower kids currently in foster care or who have aged out of the system by providing them with advocacy, mentoring, financial wellness coaching, and other educational and inspirational resources.
