eTradeWire News/10479992
It's Black Music Month and The Phunk Hits 2018 continues with stop at the Dedham Square Coffeehouse for The GroovaLottos monthly Soul Sessions, finding a home in a venue that caters to the band's multi-generational fan base.

MASHPEE, Mass. - June 13, 2018 - eTradeWire -- One of the interesting fact that last year's Phunk Hits tour revealed was that The GroovaLottos have a considerable fan base below the age of 21, many of whom bought CDs and download cards during the tour. This is what made finding the Dedham Square Coffeehouse as a location for their monthly cabaret an ideal situation over a bar.

Not unlike the song by Sly & The Family Stone, Soul Sessions proves to be a "Family Affair" for most of the gatherings. "We get families, parents, grandparents, kids, teens... several generations coming to catch the groove." Explained GroovaLottos drummer, Eddie Ray Johnson. "We've always been a family oriented band. Our original bass player was the son of our co-founder, James Wolf," continued Johnson, "Mwalim's son, The ZYG 808 started out as my drum student and now he's not only in the band but launching his solo project. But at The GroovaLottos shows we love it when its' a family performing for families."

"It's important to share music and musical heritage wit your kids," said GroovaLottos keyboardist, Mwalim, "the music that we experience and expose our children too helps to shape a stronger family dynamic. ZYG and I listen to each others music all of the time, especially on the road."

Saturday, June 16 come celebrate Black Music Month at Soul Sessions with Grammy nominees The GroovaLottos at the Dedham Square Coffeehouse, 565 High Street, Dedham, MA. Showtime is at 8PM and the donation is $5.
