Snowbird Technologies to Present Case Study at ASTM's ICAM Conference
eTradeWire News/10817750
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Snowbird Technologies announced today that it will present a case study at the 2025 ASTM International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing (ICAM), taking place October 6–10 at the Westgate Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Hosted by the ASTM International Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AM CoE) and supported by more than a dozen ASTM technical committees, ICAM is recognized as the leading global forum for advancing additive and advanced manufacturing. The annual event brings together leaders from industry, academia, government, regulatory agencies, and national laboratories to address critical challenges across the advanced manufacturing value chain. With a strong focus on standardization, qualification, and certification, ICAM fosters collaboration that accelerates the transition of breakthrough research into real-world applications.
Snowbird Technologies will deliver its presentation, Snowbird Technologies Supports U.S. Navy Exercises with DED Manufacturing Platform, highlighting the capabilities of its patented Snowbird Additive Mobile Manufacturing Technology (SAMM Tech) system. The case study will demonstrate how SAMM Tech enabled successful in-situ production of replacement parts aboard a U.S. Navy vessel while deployed at sea—showcasing the platform's ability to provide point-of-need manufacturing in forward-operating environments.

The SAMM Tech platform is a rugged, containerized "factory in a box" designed for military and industrial applications requiring rapid, on-site production of metal, plastic, and composite components. By reducing reliance on traditional supply chains, SAMM Tech enhances operational readiness and supports the mission-critical needs of the Warfighter.
Snowbird Technologies invites ICAM attendees to join the presentation on Wednesday, October 8, at 4:00 PM PST in Conference Room 2/3, and learn how advanced manufacturing technologies like SAMM Tech are shaping the future of defense and industrial operations.
