Smyth-Boston Earns SGP Re-Certification, Reinforcing Long-Term Sustainability Commitment
eTradeWire News/10807467
WILMINGTON, Mass. - eTradeWire -- Smyth Companies, LLC (Smyth) has officially renewed the certification at its Boston facility with the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP). This step reaffirms Smyth's commitment to responsible printing both socially and environmentally. It also reflects years of ongoing efforts to reduce waste, optimize energy use, and model sustainable leadership in the label and packaging industry in general.
Smyth-Boston first earned its SGP certification in 2020. Since then, the team has implemented several impactful initiatives. At the production level, one such initiative includes a recycling program that keeps foil out of the landfill. Employees have also engaged in facility-wide energy reduction efforts, such as adjusting lighting usage and operational scheduling to maximize efficiency without sacrificing quality.
"Our Boston facility's SGP re-certification represents not just one facility's dedication to sustainability. At its core, Smyth-Boston exemplifies our commitment across the entire organization, including every department and every employee," said Scott Fisher, President and CEO of Smyth. "We're driving continuous improvement that benefits our customers, protects our environment, and strengthens our team."
