Second annual Feliciana Wildflower Festival to be held on Saturday, June 7th
eTradeWire News/10801019
The event will take place in downtown Clinton, Louisiana. Last year's festival was a stellar success. This year's installment is expected to be much larger and even more prosperous, with new additions including an extraordinary artist exhibition.
CLINTON, La. - eTradeWire -- The festival will showcase the work of the Feliciana Wildflower Project, a continually growing initiative to beautify and educate the Felicianas and beyond. The Feliciana Wildflower Project is the brainchild of Mr. Paul Davidson, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and current organic farmer and conservationist located in Clinton, Louisiana. For the past Spring seasons, Mr. Davidson has become known for planting beautiful wildflower patches around East Feliciana Parish. It was during this undertaking that Mr. Davidson began drumming up interest for the Feliciana Wildflower Project and the Feliciana Wildflower Festival. His lofty vision includes making the Felicianas a tourist destination for Wildflower viewing just like West Texas. Increasing tourism in the Felicianas will in turn, bring in more revenue to the area. He believes that flowers make people feel good, exemplifying the beauty of the natural world. The Feliciana Wildflower Festival has been instrumental in breathing life back into the beauty and tourism industry of the Felicianas. It has also helped to renew an interest and excitement in plants and flowers all around the area.
