NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, U.K. - eTradeWire -- A regional taxi company has come to the rescue of St. Oswald's Hospice as they put out an appeal for 300 festive selection boxes.

Hearing of their request, Nearby Taxi Group offered to purchase the selection boxes for the hospice to treat the young visitors to the Santa's grotto at St Oswald's Christmas Market on Saturday, November 26, 11am-3pm at their base in Gosforth.

St. Oswald's Hospice is a charitable hospice rooted in the North East. The hospice provides much more than what most people think of when they think of 'Hospice'. St Oswald's is an outstanding Hospice providing expert and specialist care and support care to babies, children, young people, and adults with life-limiting conditions, and for their families too.

A spokesman for The Nearby Group, Lyndsay Ridley said:  We're absolutely delighted, honoured, and privileged to be able to supply St. Oswald's Hospice, such a deserving cause, with the selection boxes they requested.  The whole of the Nearby Taxi Group team hope that they enjoy them and extend a warm welcome to wish them a very merry Christmas."
