Jaydon is a student from Diboll, Texas enrolled in a program to earn an associate's degree in applied science. Thanks to his perseverance, he's now making that dream a reality at the School of Automotive Machinists and Technology (SAM Tech).

Fueled by Passion and Determination
As a high school student, Jaydon enrolled in Career & Technical Education (CTE) classes, mastering skills in welding, automotive basics, and paint and refinishing. He put his craftsmanship to the test at Agricultural Mechanic Shows across Texas, even earning a blue ribbon for a shop table he built for his dad.

"I think it's important to have a job as a teen," Jaydon wrote in his essay. "It builds character and teaches you the value of hard-earned money." He has worked multiple jobs, including custodial and maintenance roles at Diboll Independent School District. Jaydon's perseverance shows that no job is too small when it comes to chasing your dreams.

Shifting Gears Toward a Bright Future

Enrolled at SAM Tech, Jaydon has completed the Engine Block Program and is currently tackling the Cylinder Head Program. He has plans to pursue CNC Machining and EFI Calibration. With each passing course, Jaydon is gaining the expertise needed to open his own auto shop, where he hopes to serve his community and continue the tradition of hard work his father instilled in him.
