KINGSTON, Mass. - Jan. 10, 2019 - eTradeWire -- Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com), a private, Catholic, co-educational school in Kingston for students in preschool through grade 12, is proud to announce that the literary work of three elementary school students are featured in the 20th edition of HUTCH.  The kids' literary and creativity magazine is published semi-annually under the direction of Peter H. Reynolds, a well-known author and illustrator of children's books, with the assistance of The Blue Bunny Bookstore and The Reynolds Center, a non-profit foundation.

Stories written by 5th grade student Miranda Miller of Kingston, 4th grader Sophie Yamin of East Sandwich and MJ Whitehead, a 4th grader from Marshfield were chosen for publication in Hutch Magazine, with the student authors invited to The Blue Bunny Bookstore in Dedham for a party. The latest edition was unveiled, and each child included in the magazine was personally recognized by Peter Reynolds, received a copy of the magazine, and a certificate.

The theme of the 20th edition of Hutch Magazine was "Celebrating Culture: Mine, Yours, and Ours..." Students whose work was chosen were from around the world.

Miranda Miller wrote a piece entitled "Miranda's Hunch" in which she imagined what would happen "if technology screens vanished."

MJ Whitehead penned "A Taste of England" and described how many of his family's traditions hail from his dad who was born in England.  The author also shared a recipe for Yorkshire Pudding.

Peter Reynolds spoke to all those present about the importance of creativity and about making their mark on the world.

Each spring and fall children ages 5-12 are invited to submit art, poetry, stories, book reviews, photos and other journalistic pieces for consideration.  Each new issue is welcomed with a publication party at The Blue Bunny Bookstore in Dedham where all children who have contributed can celebrate with their families.
