Rotary Supports Healing Garden & "Disarm PTSD" Launch at Frelinghuysen Arboretum
eTradeWire News/10818495
MORRISTOWN, N.J. - eTradeWire -- Rotary District 7475 and the Rotary Club of Morristown joined veterans, civic leaders, and community members on Friday, October 3, at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum for a historic milestone: the signing of an agreement to establish the Healing Garden of Morris County.
The agreement between Veterans Valor (The Healing Gardens of Morris, Inc.) and the Morris County Park Commission officially designates the Arboretum as the home of the Healing Garden. The ceremony also launched Disarm PTSD, a countywide campaign to support veterans and civilians in healing body, mind, and spirit.
The Healing Garden will serve as a sanctuary for reflection, restoration, and community connection. With spaces designed to bring people together, it will provide a place where trauma can be transformed into resilience, and where service is honored through peace and renewal.
Rotary leaders emphasized that this project reflects the essence of Rotary — bringing people together in service to create lasting change.
"This project is an incredible example of how Rotary brings people together to serve the community," said Rotary District 7475 Governor Bob Law. "The Healing Gardens will be a place of renewal and hope for everyone in Morristown and beyond."
