Rocky View Foundation Expresses Disappointment Over Unsuccessful AHPP Grant Bid for Senior Lodge
eTradeWire News/10770662
The Rocky View Foundation, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of seniors in our community, regrettably found itself unsuccessful in the most recent rounds of AHPP grant applications for the new Seniors Lodge in Cochrane.
COCHRANE, Alberta - eTradeWire -- Rocky View Foundation (RVF), a provider of housing solutions for seniors in the Rocky View region, regrets to announce that its recent application for an AHPP grant with the Government of Alberta to construct a new senior lodge in Cochrane has not been successful.
Despite presenting a comprehensive proposal illustrating the critical need for additional senior lodge units in our community and the multitude of benefits such a facility would offer, RVF was not chosen to receive funding in the latest round of grants.
Chris Rowe, Chief Administrative Officer at RVF, expressed the organization's disappointment, stating, "We are naturally disappointed by this outcome. We firmly believe in the importance of providing high-quality housing options for our senior population, and we had hoped that this grant would enable us to expand our services and meet the growing demand for affordable senior housing in our area."

The proposed senior lodge would have provided a plethora of amenities and services tailored to the unique needs of older adults, including comfortable living accommodations, recreational activities, and access to supportive services to promote health and well-being.
"While we are disheartened by this setback, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our mission of enriching the lives of seniors in our community," added Chris Rowe. "We will continue to explore alternative funding opportunities and partnerships to pursue our vision of providing safe, affordable, and supportive housing options for seniors."
