Rocky Mountain Stone Plays Key Role in ABQ Sunport Remodeling Project
eTradeWire News/10786706
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - eTradeWire -- Rocky Mountain Stone, a leading provider of custom stonework in New Mexico, is proud to announce its participation in the ongoing remodeling project at Albuquerque International Sunport. The project includes the careful relocation and modification of a large stone sculpture base, originally installed in the late 1990s, as part of the airport's major upgrades.
This isn't the first time Rocky Mountain Stone has contributed to the great state of New Mexico: In 1992, the natural stone company extracted, processed and installed several thousand sq.ft. of travertine to the New Mexico State Capitol building.
Rocky Mountain Stone is using its advanced fabrication facility and experienced installation crews to help with the rejuvenation of this gateway to Albuquerque. As part of the airport's renovations, which include upgrades to the TSA checkpoint and food court, the stone sculpture base that once stood between the two main departure wings has been relocated to a prominent new position in front of the food court. The expert Rocky Mountain Stone team meticulously handled the removal, resizing, and reinstallation of the base, along with its accompanying information plaque.

"We're honored to be part of this landmark project at the Sunport," said Sean Lardner, General Manager at Rocky Mountain Stone. "Rocky Mountain Stone was founded in New Mexico, and we take great pride in being able to provide beautiful stonework to such a significant public space."
