Giving Tuesday opens a two-month period of matched giving to support the nonprofit's mission into 2026
PHILADELPHIA - eTradeWire -- As The Jazz Sanctuary closes out its 14th year of bringing free, live jazz to communities across the Greater Philadelphia region, Founder & Executive Director Alan Segal announced that the nonprofit performing arts organization has now presented 937 events since its inception -- and is preparing for a major milestone ahead.
"With 937 events behind us, we're already looking ahead to a big milestone -- our 1,000th concert in 2026," said Segal. December and January are matching months, and every gift -- large or small -- brings us closer to that 1,000th event and helps keep this music free and accessible to everyone."
This year's efforts are underscored by Giving Tuesday on Dec. 2, 2025, a global day of generosity that kicks off the holiday season of charitable support. Segal emphasized that Giving Tuesday -- combined with The Jazz Sanctuary's two-month matching-gift opportunity -- provides a meaningful moment for supporters to help sustain and expand the nonprofit's mission.
