WILMINGTON, Del. - eTradeWire -- Boart Longyear and aiDataWorks are proud to announce the successful completion of their CDI-PC ModernizationProject, migrating Boart Longyear's legacy on-premise PowerCenter environment to Informatica's Cloud Data Integration for PowerCenter (CDI-PC) on the Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform.

This strategic migration process, also called "cloudification" within Informatica, included a comprehensive environment assessment, IPU (Informatica Processing Unit) estimation, secure agent setup, domain and repository migration from Oracle to SQL Server 2019, and a full upgrade of PowerCenter 10.4 to the latest CDI-PC. The project was completed ahead of time, before the PowerCenter license expiration, ensuring business continuity and unlocking cloud-native scalability.

The joint effort also delivered critical documentation and post-production support, including knowledge transfer and workflow-level IPU reporting, allowing Boart Longyear to optimize operational costs. As a direct outcome, Boart Longyear has already started reducing monthly IPU consumption by 60–70 units, with further efficiencies projected in the coming months.
