Pierce County Early Childhood Network recognizes our Champions for Children awardees, outstanding individuals and organizations committed to improving the lives of Pierce County children and families.

TACOMA, Wash. - eTradeWire -- This year's Champions for Children Annual Celebration event will take place at STAR Center from 4 – 6 PM on October 11th, 2024, and will bring together community leaders, partners, and advocates for an inspiring evening dedicated to honoring these remarkable Champions for Children. The event will feature recognition of nominees, networking opportunities, and a special performance from Hearts for Kids dance troupe.

These Champions have demonstrated exceptional leadership, advocacy, and service in supporting the well-being of our youngest residents, their caregivers, and families:
  • Michelle Perry Family Resource Center Family Advocate, Amara
  • Carol Mitchell Founder & Director of Advocacy, Institute for Black Justice
  • Rachel Lettieri Director of Care Coordination, Pediatrics Northwest
  • Nelson Rascon Executive Director, DadsMOVE
