FORT MYERS, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Pathways to Opportunity (PTO) marks its 10-year anniversary providing life skills training and social connectivity to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at its Fort Myers campus. In honor of this milestone, the PTO campus will be transformed into a global adventure for participants to explore and learn about different countries and cultures. The event, called "Wheels Up – Pathways to Opportunity Decade of Travel," will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on July 3rd at the Goodwill Opportunity Center located at 5100 Tice Street in Fort Myers.
Professors from the Travel Abroad program at Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) will lead engaging discussions, sharing their insights and experiences from around the world.
"Our participants and guests will be able to broaden their horizons, celebrate a decade of PTO, and embark on an educational journey like no other," states Jessica Tursi, Goodwill SWFL's Director of Disabilities Services. "It will be a day filled with discovery, cultural immersion, and fun!"

Additionally, staff is hosting the official unveiling of their "Rays to Grow Garden" at the PTO campus later that day from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., and the public is encouraged to attend the garden reveal.
"We are excited to showcase the hard work and dedication of our gardening group, the Green Thumbs, who have poured their passion and effort into bringing this beautiful garden to life," states Tursi. "This special event will highlight their achievements and celebrate the growth and learning that has blossomed through this project. Come and be a part of this joyous occasion as we reveal the fruits of their labor and enjoy the beauty of our new garden space."
10-years-ago, PTO began with just five participants and now serves nearly 100. All five of the original participants are still with the program.
