OAKLAND, Calif. - eTradeWire -- The Oakland Ballers, Oakland's newest professional sports team, and local nonprofit, Keep Oakland Beautiful, have announced a community beautification day on Saturday, July 27th.

The event, organized in collaboration with Friends of Raimondi Park, Friends of Mandela Parkway and Oaklandish, will involve a litter pick-up of Mandela Parkway before the Ballers' home game against the Yolo High Wheelers later that day. Event volunteers will receive complimentary litter pick-up kits and complimentary tickets to the Ballers game afterward.

"We couldn't be happier to work with these organizations to help bring out the community to help maintain Mandela Parkway," said Christina Porter, the Board Chair of Keep Oakland Beautiful. "Keep Oakland Beautiful is proud to play a part in carrying forward the great work that the Ballers have been doing in West Oakland."
