NPA Partners with Elsevier to Recognize ‎Events During National Postdoc Appreciation Week

ROCKVILLE, Md. - eTradeWire -- The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) has partnered with Elsevier to present a series of National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW) Awards. The nation's largest celebration of postdocs, NPAW was established with the goal of acknowledging the significant contributions that postdoctoral scholars ("postdocs") make to U.S. research and discovery.

NPAW awards will be given in the following categories: best new event, most creative event, best collaborative event, and best PDA-led event. The official rules and criteria will be announced in July, with the winners being announced in October. Winners will receive a physical award, a cash prize, and acknowledgement in the postdoc community.

The tenth annual celebration of NPAW will take place September 16 – 20, 2019. During this week-long celebration, institutions across the nation are encouraged to plan activities and events throughout the week and across the country to create awareness of postdocs. NPAW grew out of National Postdoc Appreciation Day, which was held on September 24, 2009.
