Asalia White Williams, from Milwaukee, WI. has been nominated for a national music award for her first ever released single "Be A Butterfly."

MILWAUKEE - Oct. 7, 2018 - eTradeWire -- Asalia White Williams, born in 2006 has been nominated for a "NAMMY" (Native American Music Award) in the Best Indie artist or Best Independent New Artist/Group(Native America's Newest Voices) category for her single "Be A Butterfly" released March 30, 2018. Her stage and
radio performances include: Indian Summer Music Awards (ISMA) in Milwaukee, WI. and WXPR Radio in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. She is a member of the Lac Vieux Desert Lake Superior Chippewa.

On October 12th, the 2018 Native American Music Awards show will be held at the Seneca Hotel & Casino in Niagara Falls, N.Y. NAMA is an organization designed to recognize musicians for their contributions to contemporary and traditional Native American Music.

Asalia (pronounced "Ah-sah-lee-ah") means "Keeper of the Stars." She has co-written two songs with NAMA life time achievement award winner Bobby Bullet for her soon to be released C.D., and wants to continue writing and performing. Asalia says simply, "I love music and singing."
