New Nature Walks to Boost Wellbeing in North Somerset – Funded by The National Lottery
eTradeWire News/10792783
WESTON SUPER MARE, U.K. - eTradeWire -- Mudita Salus CIC is thrilled to announce the launch of Connect 3, a free, guided nature connection project designed to support mental wellbeing, social connection, and time outdoors. Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, these walks will provide a much-needed opportunity for individuals to connect with themselves, others, and nature.
Starting in February 2025, Connect 3 will run monthly guided walks at three stunning locations:
- Weston Woods, Weston-super-Mare (1st Monday of the month)
- Portbury Wharf, Portishead (2nd Monday of the month)
- Winscombe & Sandford Award Land, Winscombe (3rd Monday of the month)
Each 90-minute session includes a grounding meditation, mindful walking, and reflective group discussions, finishing with refreshments. The walks are particularly suited to those experiencing mental health challenges or social isolation, offering a safe and welcoming space to reconnect with the world around them.
This initiative aligns with The National Lottery Community Fund's new strategy, 'It starts with community', which is dedicated to helping people come together, live healthier lives, support children and young people, and promote environmental sustainability. The funder has committed to distributing at least £4 billion of National Lottery funding by 2030 to strengthen communities across the UK.

"We are incredibly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund and National Lottery players for making Connect 3 possible. These walks offer a gentle, supportive way for people to prioritise their wellbeing, build meaningful connections, and experience the benefits of nature."
National Lottery players raise over £30 million a week for good causes across the UK, supporting projects like Connect 3. Last year alone, The National Lottery Community Fund awarded over £686.3 million to more than 13,700 projects across the UK, helping communities bring their ideas to life.
